- Married for 10 years to my wife, Amanda
- Two amazing children: Ireland, age 9, and Euan, age 4
- Two crazy dogs, Molly Mae and Wendie
- Grew up in Zionsville, Indiana, north of Indianapolis, graduating in 1997
- Moved to Michigan in 2001, for my wife to attend graduate school at the University of Michigan, and fell in love with the state
- Returned to school full-time in 2007, after the birth of my son, after working for seven years in newspaper advertising
- Privileged to be a stay at home father from 2007 to September 2010, in addition to attending school
- Daughter, Ireland, was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome three years ago, requiring extensive services inside and outside the classroom
